Mabo - The Native Title Revolution

  UNAA

The Mabo Native Title site won the 2008 United Nations Association
of Australia Media Peace Award for 'Best Online'.

Mabo nominated for BAFTA and EMMA

  BAFTA   EMMA Awards

Mabo - The Native Title Revolution is encyclopedic - it explores every aspect of the Native Title story from a small island in the Torres Strait to the High Court of Australia. Eddie Koiki Mabo dies 6 months before his victory - a victory short lived as we see our indigenous people cheated yet again. It features hundreds of Flash multimedia presentations and a thousand resources from love letters to recordings of Eddie Mabo's lectures at James Cook University.

William Bligh broadband site on the ABC

An interactive graphic novel that covers William Bligh's extraordinary life. Bligh is one of the most mis-represented historical figures. This site brings the facts to light with art, action and music.

Edna Walling

Edna Walling on the ABC site

Edna Walling was a brilliant and influential Australian landscape designer who became an ardent conservationist and evangelised Australian natives in home gardens. A photographer and popular gardening writer, Walling's gardens attract international tourism.

completely GORGEOUS completely GORGEOUS

totally GORGEOUS was Tantamount's first CD-ROM. We produced it with Kaz for Film Australia and it won a couple of awards. Now we've put it online as completely GORGEOUS!

HOMELESS

Homeless examines 24 hours in the life of homeless people in Sydney, Jakarta, Tokyo, New Delhi, New York and London. Surprising, sad, mad and beautiful, the site's 6 stories expose our societies' real attitude to the marginalised.

Multimedia

Rob Wellington has over 20 years experience as a new media producer and developer. Rob still works a lot in Adobe Director building kiosks and CD-ROMs (remember them?)

Rob's first CD-ROM, Kaz Cooke's totallyGORGEOUS, won a New York Short Film Festival Jury Prize and was nominated for an EMMA. Film Australia commissioned Rob to convert it to a site. Check it out at www.completelyGorgeous.com.au The CD-ROM and site are based on Kaz's best seller Real Gorgeous and her AFI award winning film Gorgeous. (Yes. I think Kaz now own's the word 'gorgeous'. And so she should!)

Rob's second CD-ROM, Childcare: an Interactive Experience, produced with Western Melbourne Institute of TAFE, won a Victorian Training Industry Award and syrprised the minister for eductaion Phil Honeywell. The skeptical minister was astounded, "Now I think you can teach anything with multimedia!" The brightly coloured CD-ROM

Mabo - the Native Title Revolution, produced with Cristina Pozzan and co-directed with Trevor Graham for Film Australia, is an encyclopedic title that covers every aspect of the issue. Made with the cooperation of the Mabo family the project explores Mabo's life, roots, the case, the political backlash and the legal ramifications.

Awards: Best Multimedia Award, Australian Teachers Of Media (ATOM), The Australian Best Secondary Educational Award, AIMIA Apple Multimedia Award. Nominations: Best Educational Multimedia, BAFTA (British Academy of Film and Television Arts), EMMA (European MultiMedia Awards)

Childcare: an Interactive Experience, produced with Western Melbourne Institute of TAFE, won a Victorian Training Industry Award and syrprised the minister for eductaion Phil Honeywell. The skeptical minister was astounded, "Now I think you can teach anything with multimedia!" The brightly coloured CD-ROM was a hit with childcare workers.

Deadly Bay: Open For Work, produced with Western Melbourne Institute of TAFE, won a Victorian Training Industry Award and syrprised the minister for eductaion Phil Honeywell. The skeptical minister was astounded, "Now I think you can teach anything with multimedia!" The brightly coloured CD-ROM

Deadly Bay: Open For Work

Deadly Bay is an educational CD-ROM for young indigenous people entering the work force produced with NSW TAFE and the Aboriginal Programs Unit of the Sydney University of Technology for ANTA (the Australian National Training Authority).

The program provides interactive language, literacy and numeracy activities set in an on-the-job scenario in the seafood, hospitality, horticulture, tourism and community recreation industries.

Feedback has been very positive and the 'Fat Boy Slim Dusty' soundtrack of 'programmed' country and western seems to be very popular with the kids.
