As much by accident as by design the prospect from the interior of this quite minute cottage is pleasing from every room - in fact so many views (even though self contained within the boundaries of the garden of "Sonning") are obtainable. The astonishment at the smallness of the abode expressed by new arrivals ... goes into reverse upon entering the said abode.

"How much larger it seems when you are inside" they say almost always and almost always I answer "It only seems larger". Windows looking out in all directions, piazzas and paved courtyards and doorways out on to them from every room give this impression - so much of the cottage is outside, so to speak.
