The tall ...Prosthantera Nivea (Snow mint bush) and the mauve form, Nivea Induta, (Lilac mint bush) are also in flower now. I noticed with interest that this native is very pleasing grown quite close to the pale pink Chinese Beauty Bush (Kolkwitzia Amabilis), on the whole I would not plant natives with exotics and vice versa, and yet it would be quite an interesting study to have a part of a garden where one deliberately sets out to find out what natives do combine pleasingly with exotics.
