I was once called to a property where grass was the chief problem which beset the owners. Not on their property but, in the vicinity there naturally grew the dense foliage, low-growing shrubs Thomasia, ....This shrub I had found was a wonderful discourager of grass and weeds, and unhesitatingly I advised them to propagate a quantity of young plants...and plant them freely; thus they would not only eventually eliminate the grass but, protect the hill-side from erosion ....incidently, since it is a comely little shrub, the hill-side would be much more beautiful.

Unfortunately the owner decided to install rabbit proof fencing instead!
