Dear Gardeners,

If any small flowering tree deserves to be 'decorated' it should surely be that exquisite little flowering apple (Malus angustifolia), the last of the apples to come into flower in the spring. The blooms are large and of the most delicate shade of flesh pink one could imagine. When the tree is in bud it appears to be covered with small pink balls, for the buds are the fattest little fellows...
