"What an extremely useful little plant is the prostrate rosemary. Often when a grass verge is not just what you want at the side of a path or a driveway this will serve the purpose and give a mat green that is not quite so formal and does not need any attention but an occasional weeding. It is covered with silvery-mauve flowers at the moment and will be all winter. In fact, it is longer in flower than out of flower in this garden."
