    "For a hedge that is evergreen and summer-blooming...has it ever occurred to you to use Abelia rupestris? I think you would like it because the foliage is such a good, dark, somewhat shiny bronze-green...The flowers are a delicate shell pink and white, and when they have fallen the ducky red bracts, which remain right through the winter, are as effective as the flowers. We have found it most useful for indoor decoration mixed with autumn foliage."
