MacMillan's have said they are hoping to have the reprint of "The Gardener's Log" out in November: I can only hope they do, for unless they cash in on the Christmas sales I have a horrible suspicion they won't sell many. However, if they do there is a chance he might consider a new edition of "Gardens in Australia". Two requests from Buderim folk have brought both letters from a Sydney secondhand bookseller telling them "Yes they have a second hand copy of "Gardens in Australia" - the price is $15 (!) Today another friend sent me a similar letter with the slight alteration - "the price is $17!". Should be useful bait for the Macmillan man.

Man called yesterday - a friend of Jean Galbraith's. Said he was [...?] in Tasmania and was most impressed with your work at the Airports. Allow me to congratulate you Mervyn dear.
