...where the house is surrounded by broad acres, not to take inspiration and suggestions from the various factors which should govern the design of the future dwelling: the lay of the land, the distant views, a site where the approach may be made most picturesque, and wherever possible, the use of local building materials, is to be guilty of stupidity not easily to be excused.
