This letter was written by Edna Walling during her retirement in Queensland. She wrote several letters to various people and organisations during her latter years with suggestions or ideas she had for buildings or gardens. This letter suggested a Church buy some land on which to build something other than "those Fibros":
I am writing to you because I thought that perhaps the church might be interested in securing some Coast land before it has all gone, and planning it as a place of repose for those looking for quiet holidays. It has become such a terrific need in these high-pressure days that I can imagine no better way of expressing kindness in a big way, since if people could get away to a quiet place of complete change of climate and scene many of them would not become hospital cases. I must not say anymore about it just now, but I do hope there will be a cheerful reaction to this idea of mine yours sincerely [not signed]
