"To straighten the road, Lady" one of the men replied obligingly, "But that ugly old Peppermint Gum would have made it even straighter" we replied, "But these are on the blue print" he replied, so the ugly old gum remained and down came the Candle Barks, and that beautiful road became just another mediocre bit of roadside.
