I am not a fanatic where native plants are concerned; I could not manage without many plants that come from other lands ...and much as I believe that in certain places we should studiously exclude the exotics and strive to recreate the natural scene ...I think it is neither necessary nor desirable to consider where a plant comes from for the average home garden, so long as we enjoy it just for itself and so long as it harmonises with its neighbours' foliage and flowers.
