Once when we were wandering over the cliffs at Peterborough we noticed a little mauve and pink daisy growing in the turf. It was as short as the closely nibbled grass itself and we knelt down and dug up a small patch of it and brought it home. This we learnt was Brachycome graminea, and have since found it to be a treasure. A fair percentage will strike from cuttings and, as with all plants that you would not like to lose, it is wise to have some young ones coming on in case any fate befalls the parent plant.
