More Information

This web site provides access to hundreds of garden plans, photographs, letters, articles and more.

In each section choose 'More Information' to find relevant information.

    Most of the material has come from the Edna Walling Collection, held by the State Library of Victoria. The collection is available to the public, however bookings are required.

 

Sorting

The More Information lists can be sorted by media, title or date. Click on the 'DATE' column header and the information will be sorted chronologically from earliest to latest. 'TITLES' are sorted alphabetically.

Media is sorted alphabetically by the name of the Media. (See below.)

    NB: When sorted by Media, the list is sorted by file size (from smallest to largest) within each media type.

Photo or other Image

Edna Walling was a keen and accomplished photographer. There are 170 of her black and white images available on this site.

Plan

View at 50%Many of Walling's plans are held by the State Library of Victoria. The library have generously digitised 225 plans for this site. Each plan can be viewed at 25%, 50% and 100% magnifications.

    (Please note that 100% magnification does not represent the actual size of the original plan.)

Find

To 'Find' information we ask you to choose a letter to get a list of all the words and phrases that start with that letter. Click on your choice for all associated information.

For instance, to find all the information (plans, photographs, etc.) we have for the word 'pool' simply click on 'P' and then choose 'pool' from the list.

If the word you want doesn't appear in the list we may have used another term such as 'pool' instead of 'pond'.

Also, we have listed names with their surname first, so Dame Nellie Melba appears under 'M', as 'Melba, Dame Nellie'
